SABAH MALAYSIAN BORNEO GUIDE TO FOREST RECREATION AND EDUCATION CENTRES

The Sabah Forestry Department has more than 11 well established nature education and outdoor recreation centres throughout the state of Sabah. To date, there has been little information available for potential visitors to these centres. This book is designed primarily to provide basic information about the Forest Recreation and Education Centres run by the Sabah Forestry Department. In particular it focuses on those centres located within forest reserves. Information is provided about key aspects of each centre, the activities and programs carried out at the centres, and useful tips such as directions, costs, contact details and information for visitors. This book is not meant to be a comprehensive compendiun on each centre; but aims to provide a short basic summary of available information on each centre. It is hoped that this book generates interest in these centres and spurs increased outdoor recreation and nature based education activities in Sabah.
